EAC Hosts Spring Showcase
Just imagine: performances in guitar, piano, drums, music and theatre, sign language, sewing, STEM, art, and cooking in one setting! The Experiential Arts Center (EAC), a program of FOCUS ministries, wowed an audience of 200+ parents, family and visitors on May 1, 2022. In one hour, the audience saw presentations from 17 courses offered at the EAC. Thank you to over 30 volunteers who make it happen each semester.

Pastor Meet and Greet
On April 26th, nine pastors from all over Harris County and Columbus enjoyed lunch at the Experiential Arts Center. The group heard encouraging words from Paul Baxter, Pine Mountain Baptist Association Area Missionary, Reverend Kaylon Short, First Methodist Church of Pine Mountain and FOCUS board member, and Pastor Desmond Thornton (pictured on left), Community Church of Waverly Hall.

SERVE TEAMS - North Higland
FOCUS and the community were touched by servants from the North Highland Church in Columbus. The team magically transformed the face of the FOCUS Thrift Store and Boutique in Hamilton with new shrubs, plants, and a pressure-washed the sidewalk. Next, they touched the city of Pine Mountain with an “eggtastic” egg hunt. The volunteers provided over 100 baskets and 3,000 eggs for the hunt, which was attended by the community, the Pine Mountain Police Department, and L1027 children’s ministries.

SERVE TEAMS - River of Life
The River of Life Serve Team in Hamilton, GA, completely transformed the Hamilton United Methodist Church annex, which is shared with FOCUS ministries. The annex was cleaned from top to bottom, just in time for the “Young Life” group to meet with over 30 youth.
