​“My story is one of survival and transformation. For years, my boys and I endured an abusive relationship, believing this was what a “good” Christian woman was supposed to do. I felt trapped, unseen, and hopeless. I fought hard for our emotional and physical safety. We were finally able to escape the abuse, but it seemed starting over was impossible. After being failed by the systems, I found grace with FOCUS. Through Emergency Services, the Food Pantry, and the Level Up Children’s Program, my sons and I found more than resources; we found safety, compassion, and hope. With wraparound support, we began to heal, grow, and step into the life God intended for us.”
