HOMELESS TO HOPEFULL: A MOTHER'S COMEBACK STORY
Just a few years ago, one local mother was at rock bottom homeless, heartbroken, and separated from her three children.
“I was living in my car,” she said. “I didn’t know how I was going to make it.”
But she didn’t give up.
With faith in her heart and help from people who cared, things began to change. Through FOCUS Ministries, she received food, personal care items, and love when she needed it most.
With the support of FOCUS volunteers, she found stable housing. Even more meaningful, she was reunited with her children.

“Each of them had their own room again. That was everything to me.”
Determined to move forward, she found work in the local school system supporting students with special needs. Today, she also serves as a cross-country coach and recently celebrated buying her oldest child his first car.
“I thank God every morning and night so I never go back to that place.”
Her story is still unfolding but it’s already a powerful reminder of what faith, perseverance, and a helping hand can do.
“We were saved by God’s grace and the wonderful people of FOCUS Ministries. This is our second chance and we’re not looking back.”
